The Ski Club Arlberg: winter sports with history and tradition on the Arlberg The Skiclub Arlberg was founded in 1901, three years later the first ski race was held and in 1906 the first ski course. In subsequent years, the Arlberg region developed into a traditional winter sports town, offering through the efforts of many ski pioneers now 83 modern cable cars and lifts. „Der Weiße Ring“ connects the villages of Lech-Zürs-Zug-Oberlech
Der Weiße Ring is undoubtedly one of the most impressive ski runs in the Alps. The 22 kilometers ski circuit connecting the Arlberg resorts of Lech, Zürs, Zug and Oberlech and leads to stunning panoramic viewpoints of the Arlberg mountains. Everything at a glance: 22 km length / 5,500 vertical meters / Alpine sightseeing tour with viewing platforms at the top station Rüfikopf and Madloch / connecting the resorts of Lech, Zürs, Zug and Oberlech / venue of the annual race in January / for all skiers with normal skiing skills suitable. Der Weiße Ring: the race
The longest ski race in the world is organized annually since the year of 2005. The record time for the completion of the whole ski circuit is just under 45 minutes. In addition to the selective slopes around the Rüfikopf, the Omeshorn and the Kriegerhorn the use of some ski lifts and cable cars is part of this historic race - therefore it can be assumed from a race time of about 1 hour!
